The Buffalo Moon Flutes N. Scott Robinson
Udu - Large is a specially designed handmade ceramic udu,
low fired, thin walled, long neck, very dense, and tuned!
The thin wall is great for ghatam-like response to the
fingertips or a brush. The udu is tuned in 2 ways - the
interval between the low tone and higher tone is approximately
an octave. The bass tone is tuned to about a B (below
low tone of Small Udu) while the high tone = B one octave
higher. The finish is an exquiste blend of natural colors
due to the firing process and is completed with a high
gloss shine. Comes with a ring stand. Made by master flute
and ceramic artist Keith Glowka!
The Large Udu is 14" high by 37"
round and weighs 5 pounds, 9 ounces (6 pounds, 8 ounces
with ring stand). The
bass tone is full and sustains.
