The Drumset And Percussion Camp, part of the Goucher College Summer Arts Institute, is held annually during July at Goucher College in Towson, MD, a suburb of Baltimore, Maryland. This year’s dates are July 7-18, 2008. Students 13-18 years old with at least one year of school band or private lesson experience are welcome. A wide range of percussion ensembles and lessons are offered including classical, jazz, rock, world, and electronic. Faculty include Wes Crawford (drumset), N. Sun to Stars Festival - Inspired by traditional all-night concerts along India's Ganges River, Solar One's Second Annual Sun To Stars Festival presents an eclectic blend of South Asian classical and folk performing arts on the East River, featuring top artists from and around the New York City area plus a lively marketplace of local organizations, artists, and vendors, including regional South Asian cuisine.
