The Drumset And Percussion Camp, part of the Goucher College Summer Arts Institute, is held annually during July at Goucher College in Towson, MD, a suburb of Baltimore, Maryland. This year’s dates are July 7-18, 2008. Students 13-18 years old with at least one year of school band or private lesson experience are welcome. A wide range of percussion ensembles and lessons are offered including classical, jazz, rock, world, and electronic. Faculty include Wes Crawford (drumset), N. Scott Robinson (Brazilian ensemble, frame drum ensemble, drumset), Mike Miller (steel pans), Michelle Humphreys (classical, percussion ensemble), John Locke (timpani), Laura Cerulli (Disappear Fear), John Donovan (DCI champion), Jerome Herskovitz (Goucher College), Jeremy Hummel (Breaking Benjamin), Keith Larsen (MD Drum Co.), Marshall Maley (VA/DC PAS Pres.), Joe McCarthy (Afro-Bop Alliance), Robert “Mousey” Thompson (James Brown), and Scott Tieman (Indie Rock).
